Kennedy Redford are pleased to have been working with Avid Project Management and Incognito Interior Design on behalf of the commercial law firm Hill Dickinson, to deliver a new office space in the Leeds city centre, within the Wellington Place development.
Kennedy Redford’s involvement has been from the early concept stages of the Fit Out design, completing a due diligence exercise on the base build service offering and engaging with the Landlord team as part of the early lease negotiation process.
The Kennedy Redford team then completed a RIBA Stage 3+ design for the MEP servicing, and continue in a technical advisory role on behalf of the Client during the D&B process of Contractor implementation of the scheme.
Hill Dickinson will occupy the 1st floor footplate of 11 Wellington Place. Whilst the Hill Dickinson population sits well within the reported capacity of the floorplate, the significant Client facing element of the Fit Out, and the extent of alternate work settings provided a challenge to maintain a flexible and compliant solution that remained within the limitations of the base build, especially maintaining a nil impact to the base build NABERS score rating.
The Fit Out has achieved a SKA Gold standard for the design stage, and confidence is high that this aspiration can be continued through to a construction SKA rating.
